Salisbury Lions

This team is captained by Mick Corden and were the reigning champions going into the 2025 season.

Ahead of the final fixture at home to Alderbury, Lions were in pole position but Salisbury, in second, were breathing down their necks just 0.5 points behind, while third-placed Pewsey Red were 4.5 points back. With six points on offer, and Salisbury with a superior shot difference, only another big win would guarantee Lions the title - and, after 16 of the 18 ends, that was coming to fruition with Lions 5-1 ahead on the night. Alderbury, however, were only marginally behind on the three rinks on which they were not winning and, over the final two ends, turned those around to win on the night by three rinks, with the fourth tied, for an overall shot score of 72-68 and a point total of 5.5-0.5. With Salisbury triumphing by 5-1, and Pewsey Red by 6-0, this meant Lions slipped behind both to finish the season in third. Salisbury are the 2025 champions, with Pewsey Red runner-up: and congratulations to both.
