Acorns

The Andover Acorns team in the Whitchurch & District League was again captained this season by Andy Brown.

Acorns finished the 2025 season as champions of Division 4, with a record of 11 wins from 16 games; a season-long record of 867 shots for (the most in the league) and 653 against for a 54-41 average in each game, and were thus promoted to Division 3 to play alongside Andover Eagles and Andover Stags. In 2026, despite flirting with the relegation spots for much of the season, arising from a rather slow start, the team had a terrific final six weeks.leading to a comfortable mid-table finish with 7 wins out of their 16 games, scoring 3.5 points per game and a shot total in each game of 44-49.

Fixtures and results during the 2026 season were as follows (aggregate score adjacent to the team names; league points won in the brackets). With nine teams in the league, each game week sees one team with no fixture.

With the regular season now ended, barring a few fixtures still to be played between the bottom four sides in the division as a result of games being postponed earlier in the season, the main page for the Whitchurch and District League has what are more or less the final tables although it could be the case that Acorns slip one more place.
