At this year's President's Day, Andover Bowling Club members raised a terrific sum for Naomi and Jack's, which provides hospice care for children and young adults across Wessex. The Club then rounded up the sum raised to £500. We have in response received a heartfelt 'thank you' letter addressed to President Steve Baker.

We are still trying to get the technology to work so that we can attach the letter but, in the meantime, the text is below. Please read it. The donations that you made, and the love and the care for people from which they came, really do make a difference.

Naomi and Jack's

Dear Stephen,

Your kindness is incredible and we really can’t thank you and fellow members of the Andover Bowling Club enough! Your donation of £500 makes such a difference to families who use our hospice.

At Naomi and Jack’s we care for babies, children and young adults living with serious illness. Every year, more than 600 families across central Southern England rely on us for compassionate expert care. For example, specialist nursing, play therapy and much needed short breaks. Young adults just like Oliver.

19-year-old Oliver has cerebral palsy and complex health conditions, some of which are life-threatening. He and his family have been supported by Naomi and Jack’s for over 14 years.

Here’s what Rachel, Oliver’s Mum, had to say:

‘Oliver knows that all the nurses love him. He know that he is going to be spolit rotten while he’s at Naomi and Jack’s.’

‘It’s a warm, family environment and nothing is too much trouble for the care team. It’s so lovely that he’s accepted for who he is.’

The ongoing care that kind people like you are helping deliver, means children, young aduilts and their families, like Oliver and his mum Rachel, get support when they need it. Thank you.

With very best wishes

Karen
