April come she will - and, with the weather after the middle of March being really quite decent, and with warmer weather on the way at the weekend, thoughts turn to when the green will be opened for this outdoors season.

The final word lays with Evan Lewens, our greenkeeper, but we are currently hoping to be open at noon on 14 April. This is of course dependent on the weather continuing to be decent and not so as to cause any hold-ups. However, members can book a rink as from this date on bowlr - the link is also at the top of the home page. Once the season gets underway, the green will be open from midday until dusk on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; and 1000 to dusk on Tuesdays, Thursdays and at the weekends.

With a terrific indoors season behind us, with successes in winning both the John Ash Trophy and the Hamblin Trophy - see the separate stories below - excitement is building around the Club ahead of the formal opening. Don't forget the green working party this coming Saturday morning to help prepare the green and its surrounds for the season ahead - there's jobs for everyone.

And we've made a countdown clock too - it's available right at the top of the homepage or, otherwise, right here at this link.
