Double triumph for Jackie

Jackie Kingston, Women's Team Captain, yesterday won two Club titles in a tough day of competition at Vigo Park.
The titles - Women's Champion (for the Howard Cup) and Women's 2-wood Champion (for the Eason Cup) were both held over from 2024 as a result of injury.
Cynthia Hamilton, Competition Secretary, writes:
'The Women's Championship saw a close-fought game with it being all level at 14-14 after 18 ends before Jackie then dug in, scoring a 3, 1, 2 and then a 4 to win the final by 10 shots (24-14).
'The Women's 2-wood singles saw Jackie win 14-9 against Cynthia Hamilton. Jackie won 10 of the 19 ends, picking up several 2 shots whereas Cynthia only managed ones on her 9 winning ends.
'Two good matches with better to come in the 2025 season.'
Hearty congratulations from the Club to Jackie and commiserations both to Sue and to Cynthia who played strong roles in what was a memorable day of bowling.
