Sid Butler Trophy

This year's Sid Butler Trophy compeititon, for singles, was held on 11 August with 12 good men and true not only battling each other but the heat, the day being one of the hottest this summer so far.

There were some very close games, with Evan Lewens and Rob Furniss winning through to the final. This proved to be a great match to watch, with Rob ultimately emerging victorious and claiming the Trophy. Congratulations to Rob, and all who took part in the heat without wilting, with thanks going also to the markers and to Cynthia Hamilton for organising the day.
