Members work on shelter roof

With the return of milder weather following last week's cold, and with the opening of a window of dry and calm conditions, a working party of volunteers including, among others, Steve Baker, Evan Lewens, Mick Corden and Robin Kingston has this week been replacing the roof of the shelter adjacent to Vigo Park. The shelter provides a place of refuge for people, and their bags, during bad (as well as hot!) weather and also of the Club's furniture from around the green during the winter months, but had started to leak in several places last summer.

We are all extremely grateful to the volunteer members for their time and for their roofing and scaffolding skills; and look forward to enjoying the fruits of their labours once the new season get underway.
